      2001-2002年在日本长崎大学水产学部近岸环境研究室学习工作一年;2004年参加了联合国政府间海洋学委员会/西太平洋赤潮研究会的研究培训计划;20069月参加了IOC在丹麦哥本哈根举办的有毒赤潮藻类分类高级培训研讨班。先后参加了国家自然科学基金重大项目、重点项目、科技部973”“863项目多项,主持或主持完成国家自然科学基金项目6项。获国家教委科技进步一等奖、国务院侨办科技进步一等奖、广东省科技进步三等奖、广东省环保科技三等奖和广州市环保科技二等奖等多项奖励,编写出版了我国第一部浮游植物休眠孢囊方面的专著《中国沿海赤潮与孢囊研究》,参与编写专著八部,发表相关学术论文140多篇,其中SCI论文40多篇。

    主要从事赤潮藻类生理生态学以及藻类孢囊与海洋环境变化关系研究,在近海环境、浮游植物群落结构与富营养化的关系、沉积物中生源要素的变化历程等开展了较系统的研究工作
